Abusive or obscene language is not permitted and will result in termination of chat. Repeated abuse will result in blocking future chats.

We take your privacy and security very seriously. We do not collect personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it to us when you sign in to the Chat portal. The information will be stored in your record by Turning Point, Inc. Security controls, including encryption, are in place to ensure the protection of your information. Any information provided by you or collected on you will only be shared or disclosed in accordance with applicable federal and/or state laws and regulations. Despite our efforts to protect your information, some level of risk is always present when communicating over the internet.

If the Chat advocate believes you are in imminent danger of being harmed or of harming yourself or others they will request your contact information. This is so they can attempt to provide you with additional assistance which may include sending local emergency services to you. You may refuse to provide this information. However, the advocate may use other information available to them (e.g. your IP address) to help local emergency personnel locate you to provide you with assistance.
